Mobile Bases And Accessories

Dragon Base (For Moviebird 60’)

Designed by Cranium for the 60’ Moviebird arm, the Dragon Base is an incredibly efficient way to drive to multiple areas around an exterior location and achieve amazing shots. The Dragon Base™ eliminates the need for extra manpower and is much easier and considerably safer to re-position in a variety of terrains. The entire crane and base come in a custom-designed heavy-duty trailer. Once the position has been found, it takes minutes to level the base with its hydraulic levelers, and post up (up to 10’ at the fulcrum) to desired height to achieve amazing shots.

Frog Base (For Moviebird 50’)

The new Frog Base is specifically designed for the SuperTechno 50, making it an incredibly efficient way to drive to multiple areas around an exterior location. The Frog Base eliminates the need for extra manpower and is much easier and considerably safer to re-position in a variety of terrains. The entire crane & base come in a custom heavy-duty trailer specifically designed to quickly swap conventional base (for tracking shots) & frog base without the need for an additional cost of a forklift. Once the position has been found, it takes minutes to level the base with its hydraulic levelers, and post up to desired height with its custom hydraulic post. The weights always ride on the base, eliminating the need for weight carts and additional gear to unload & move. With it’s Dana 70 front & rear four-wheel drive axles, the frog base is the efficiency solution that the 50’ Supertechno has been lacking. The Frog Base’s four cylinder Ford motor is dual fuel so it runs on regular gas or Propane for stage use.

Kreeper Base (For Moviebird 45’)

The base is capable of all sorts of exciting shots whether you’re in downtown or out in the Mojave! The Kreeper Base™ helps to alleviate the need for extra manpower. The entire crane and base come in a custom-designed heavy-duty trailer. Once the position has been found, it takes minutes to level the base with its hydraulic levelers, and post up (up to 10’ at the fulcrum) to desired height to achieve amazing shots.

Roll Axis

The roll axis slides onto the Mo-Sys Lambda tilt arm to provide a 3rd axis on set within seconds. It provides continuous 360 degree rotation with the crisp and precise responsiveness that is trademark Mo-Sys.

  • Swappable in minutes

  • Unrivaled ease of adjustment and positioning

  • 360 degree roll, even with heavy payload

  • Fast 120 deg/sec roll rate

  • Precision gearing suitable for motion control

The roll axis has been designed to work with full professional film camera packages and allows continuous 360 degree rotation with large cameras (e.g. an Arriflex 435 with 300′ magazine).

With fast 120 degree/sec roll rate and precision gearing, it fits perfectly with the Lambda head to provide the user with a responsive remote head or motion control package.

Once the camera is mounted inside the roll axis, the user can adjust the axis position to balance the load and shift the camera nodal point without the need for special tools.

Scorpio Wireless Mimic Hand Control
